  • I had been shopping here for about 3 years before I decided to buy a Big Green Egg grill cart from them. The owner recommend the Sole Gourmet version as he owned one himself and said it was great. I paid about $700 and was on my way. The assembly was a horrible process, but I won't hold that against the grill. I did notice a chunk of paint missing from one of the side panels, I told the store, and they lent me a paint stick to touch it up. At this point, I should have just returned the thing as it was a sign of the quality I would eventually come to realize, but I didn't want to burden a small business. My issue is that if you set hot utensils on the grill cart it will stain it. So my grill top looked like crap after a week of use. Typical Chinese garbage. So after going back and forth with the store for a year, yes a year, they were able to order me a new top. Trying to contact Sole Gourmet themselves is impossible, fyi. I get a call from the store saying the grill top is in so I go pick it up - only to realize they ordered the wrong color (the box even said it was the right color, but what was in the box was not correct - so again, Chinese garbage). At this point they basically give up and tell me the only way to get a new one is if another grill cart is damaged and they take one from the damaged cart and it could be another year. What kind of service is this? How do you sell a product that is so cheap? I talked to BBQ Island about this brand, and without even telling them what happened they said "Sole Gourmet grill carts are junk." What ticked me off the most is when I was back in the store the owner tells me and I quote "ya, I repainted my grill cart top. It was staining." So he knew it would stain but neglected to mention this. Delightful.... I ended up buying one from outdoorkitchenequip.com - they sell great products!
