  • Such a gorgeous place to go walk around for the day! It was so refreshing to go enjoy the beautiful blooms even though it was a snowy gray day outside. We took some out of towners here this winter and they loved it! I would say if you need an indoor activity, this is a beautiful one that can keep you occupied for a few hours. We happened to be there during the orchid exhibit which was just gorgeous! There were orchids in every room and so many different colors and varieties. There was also a Cuba exhibit which was fun to wander through and learn a little about the cuban plants and culture. Phipps provides discounts for students with ID as well as seniors, which is also a plus. I recommend going at least once if you are living in the Pittsburgh area.
