I booked Thrifty's via Expedia - I was in Calgary for a brief trip and needed a midsize for the lowest price possible. Expedia got me one for $70 while the same time frame and request on the Thrifty website yielded a $110 quote. Obviously I went with Expedia. Price wise this was a great choice. As for the service, I didn't like the fact that the guy didn't remind me to check the car for damage. Thrifty's is going paperless so they don't have that sheet where you mark where the damage is on the paper and sign off before taking the car. I was in a rush and almost didn't check the car. Noticed there was a huge ding on the car door. I went back and waited in line and heard the guy tell the customer ahead of me to check the car yet he didn't tell me that. that's annoying. So when I told him about the damage and other marks on the car he said it's on file but would only note the other scraped quarter panel section after I insisted. Not sure if the guy didn't care either way but I wanted to be careful so I didn't get some penalty when I returned the car.
price is good but service is very mediocre.
