| - I kinda envy the students at UNLV. It's not because their school is typically rated in the top 50 for hottest studies bodies, or the fact the Strip is so accessible to them, but it's because they can go to places like Cugino's whenever they want!
This is that Italian deli, or any deli really, that you wish was right by your school or work. It's about 2 miles from the Strip, so you can either take a brief drive down E. Tropicana Ave and turn down Maryland, or walk that way for about 40 minutes. It's obviously more authentic than options on the Strip, and better yet, at cheaper prices.
Once you enter it, you can tell it's locally-owned, as is has that mom and pop shop type look and feel. Check out some of the photos others posted, as you'll see it's not just a counter to order food at and chairs to sit on. They have lots of foods on display packaged up that you can order or grab, like meats, salads, and breads. I was afraid to look too closely as I would have spent way more than I planned. For $9.99, I went with the basic spaghetti and meatballs with included 2 breadsticks and a sizable salad.
If you're visiting Vegas and have your own car, consider heading over here.
If you're a student at UNLV and have a break during lunch, just walk on over here. Over, and over.
