| - We are from MT, so a weekend getaway at this mountain lodge helped us feel more at home! The views are gorgeous and there are so many great hikes, from easy to difficult, right in the "backyard". They are pretty pet friendly too! Allowing pets in all areas except restaurant/bar/bistro/spa. Pets can even be on the furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had good service and good food. Not *the best* food I've ever tasted but it was still good food. The outside of the lodge is very cute and nice, and so is the large lobby. It looks like a ski lodge, with a handful of leather couches, a stuffed bear, and a giant stone fire place. You can order food on the patio on front and even your dog can join you there! The rooms are more like your cheap hotel though, with "hospital sheets" that slide off the matteress and no fridge/microwave/coffee pot. There is free wifi (a bit spotty), basic cable, and a dvd player. Overall, we throuroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return! This place has a lot of potential!
PS: We used the Valpak coupon that gets you one night stay for $99 plus dinner and breakfast entree (not including tax & gratuity). The entree can be *any* one on the menu, no matter how expensive! So we treated ourselves to surf n turf! The coupon was easy to use and honored above and beyond what we expected!
