The chocolate is very good, although it's not "fair trade", which is surprising in this day and age.
I've also been on the Choklat 101 tour. I didn't have an experience as poor as Ryan M's, but I have some feedback about it:
The place has no ambiance, but I guess that's to be expected as it's a kitchen. They could make it a lot nicer though.
The wine was horrible. A collection of the cheapest bottles that could be found.
We were also told we were eating too much chocolate. My partner paid, but I believe it was $40 each. Quite a bit for $10 worth of chocolate and two glasses of 7-11 wine.
The owner is a snob. I'm sorry, he just is. He makes great chocolate, but he shouldn't be interacting with the public.
In short: If you're looking for good, unethical chocolate, this is a great spot. If you're considering the tour, take a pass.
-edit-
I got a message from the owner where he states that he pays more than the "fair trade" rate for their beans. I have no way of verifying what's correct so I'll leave that up to the reader.
