  • My friend raved about luma. I was so excited. I hate complaining about a restaurant because people work hard. However ... This was the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. It was at least 15 minutes after we sat down to even SEE our server. She would disappear for at least 20 minutes at a time. We would order a drink and it would not show back up for like 15 minutes. 3 of the 4 of us ordered steak items and it was like 6 minutes after our meals came that our steak knives showed up. My medium rare filet tasted like liver ... The meat was barely pink but I didn't want to send it back because it would be another half hour or more to receive another one. I'm extremely disgusted to have spend over $300 for four people and be soooooo disappointed. Nobody once apologized for the delays. I entertain clients pretty frequently so I visit a lot of places ... I will not ever return to luma. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the other 3 people loved their meals and their dessert. For me, service is as, if not more, important than the food. I can forgive if something isn't cooked exactly right when the service is outstanding. This service could have not been worse.
