| - Service here is on point. Seriously. From the water and bread refills to the waiter inconspicuously asking one of the guys helping at the table to get an extra plate (what ARE they called?), these guys are on point.
The food didn't blow me away, but it was solid.
The sourdough bread that kept on coming out had a nice crunch with a soft interior and was served with a whipped butter.
Chopped salad was just a chopped salad - nothing special there.
When all our dishes came out, our server immediately asked us all to check the temperature of our meat to make sure it was ok. Mine was not, and he profusely apologized for it and took it back immediately to correct the temperature. Definitely have not seen this done before. (But then again, I haven't been to THAT many steak houses).
I had the veal chop which was good, and tasted like pork chop, but I kind of wish I just stuck with a regular steak to get that meaty taste. The bites of steak I did have from the other people in my party had a nice salt/pepper exterior with a nice crunch and was really flavorful.
As far as sides go, the mushrooms were good, but a bit too seasoned (marinating in something balsamic for too long?), asparagus was good, potato au gratin was exceptional, as well as the creamed corn.
Would recommend coming to this restaurant. It was also a nice surprise to check out the Golden Nugget. Who knew that it would look so fancy inside! I'm always on the strip, and this was my first venture to downtown Vegas
