This place is truly a hidden gem. Well, I guess I really can't call it "hidden"- it was relatively busy the last time I was here. But it is hands down my favorite local Vietnamese joint. The thing I love must about this place is it's 'mom and pop' vibe. You can tell it's just a small family owned business the minute you walk into the restaurant.
1) Service: the waiter is super attentive. They come every few minutes to refill our water. The manager checked on us every time we were there to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. The service is extremely fast and efficient but they also take the time to smile and exchange pleasantries.
2) Food: the real deal!! 3 things you must order there: (1) BBQ pork chop rice with egg (2) BBQ pork vermicelli with egg roll (3) the beef noddle soup. The best thing about this place is they don't over salt their food. Their noodle soup is perfect- flavorful but not drenched in MSG. The BBQ pork is grilled to perfection. It's my husband's favorite item on the menu. He can't get enough! We haven't tried their pho, but it's on our to do list!
3) Atmosphere: on the outside, it looks like a lodge so it's easy to mistaken it for a bar. On the inside, its a small little restaurant with some big flavors! The place is clean and well renovated.
4) Quality: delicious food, large portions, and cheap prices. What more can you ask for?? Most plates range from $8-12.
Definitely my favorite Vietnamese place! Trust me, you'll love it. Best local hot spot in the southwest.
