  • This tanning place is actually very close to where I live & convenient .... I am always around the Desert Ridge area! I had REALLY HOPED I would have a good experience (even gave it a couple of visits over a year or so to make up my mind) - but, nope. I HATE the over pricing / hidden costs and locking you into a 'membership'... I like to tan every so often / every few months to keep a little color. I don't want to be stuck paying a monthly membership fee AND sign up fee... Yuck. The 'bed upgrade' prices are ridiculous also! In my experience, the staff haven't exactly been the most warm & friendly either... Maybe they just don't like you if you don't want a membership?? I went in one day to see if there were any 'specials' as I did from time to time and a 'new girl' told me all about this 'great offer for a month of tanning' so I thought awesome!! I paid the money & I even asked her 'are you sure' I have never known them run such a good deal... She reassured me and gave me a printed receipt and wrote the details of the offer on the receipt so I felt better... The next time I went into tan the (snotty) manager told me that the offer was invalid (apparently I had paid a 'sign up fee for an offer') and as the girl was new and had made a mistake the tanning company wouldn't honor it - she made me feel like I had done something wrong!!! So awkward. Terrible customer service. I have now occasionally been driving an extra 10mins out of my way (because it is a little inconvenient) to go to Celebrity Tanning on Bell & Tatum. The staff there have been really accommodating & helpful.... So far, so good!!
