We LOVE Midwood Smokehouse and have been to 3 locations. We have visited this location a couple times. I stand by my 5 star reviews with the main location and this one had the potential to be 5 stars as well, as the food has been top notch each time.
This location just has issues with service. One time we we missing a side with a large to go order but we didn't realize until we got home. Didn't do anything about it as it was just a side. Just worth mentioning now since there are issues with this location.
Last Friday we came here to send my brother in law off with his last bbq before he went overseas for awhile.
Midwood was busy and had a wait, no issue, but when we were called in we were a table of 3 put in a booth meant for 6-8 people it looks like. Made it incredibly hard to have a decent conversation with how wide we were spread out!
We ordered drinks from the bar. Wrong drink came for me but it was fixed. This was because the server wasn't paying attention, I even said my drink twice because I don't think he got it, clearly he didn't.
Food came and was prompt. Was great as always. Loved the pork and burnt ends! Always consistent.
But after we got the food, it just seemed like they were trying to get us out as quickly as possible. Asking if we were done. Nope not yet. My husband and I were finally done and had ours boxed up. Server came back with the box and asked the two of us if we wanted anything else. No. Then he tries to take my BIL's plate when he was still eating. Then he comes back with the bill. Okay BIL is still eating and just got a new beer. What is he wants something else? He eventually finishes his plate and then he starts on his beer. Waiter tries to take the bill but there is nothing in it, plus my BIL and husband are still working on beers. One of the hostesses comes by and takes our water cups. Okay, I guess we are done here then. We just decide to pay and go on our way since they probably needed that large table for a different group. Either way, we are still customers and should not be pushed.
