  • My family and I went to Yama for the first time this past weekend, and it was fabulous from the customer service to the taste of the food to the atmosphere!!! It was a first-time experience for my entire family, including myself. Now I wish we would have known about this gem sooner! The Saturday wait for a party of four was only about 15 minutes. The food selection is great, which includes Asian-inspired appetizers, sushi, entrees, and desserts. They also have an impressive Sake offering. Everything we ordered was delicious! Our meal included miso soup, ginger salad, fried oysters, short ribs, firecracker roll, volcano roll, steak hibachi, chicken katsu, and unagi don. (My mouth is watering just thinking about our meal!) We also enjoyed a bottle of reisling and a bottle of their hana akana (sp?) sake -- both were phenomenal!! Ask for Melissa if you can -- she was our server and she was awesome! Very attentive and nice. The food comes out quickly, as well. You must try this place -- you won't be disappointed! It is now one of our favorite restaurants, for sure!
