  • The best thing about this place is the 24 hour pick up that's available. The staff is friendly too. We use to like taking our dog here for daycare. However, recently when my wife arrived at the facility, to pick up our dog, she noticed a small puncture wound on our dogs leg. There was also blood running from the wound and was smeared all over our dogs leg. My wife asked the staff what had happened and they didn't even realize that our dog had been cut or bleeding. Our dog had been there all day. When I got home I looked at our dogs puncture wound and thought she might need stitches. I brought her to the vet and thankfully our dog didn't need them. However, the wound still required some antibiotics and needed to be cleaned and wrapped. The vet also put our dog on an antibiotic pill to keep the wound from getting infected. The vet bill ended up costing plenty of money. I called Hot Diggity Dog back, thinking they'd take care of the vet bill, since it happened at their facility. The lady told me she didn't know if they cover vet bills and she would get a hold of the owner and have the owner call me. A short time later the same lady called me back and told me, the owner told her, that they won't cover the vet bill, because it wasn't an immediate medical emergency. My wife and I were irate because when the injury occurred, the staff didn't even know about it and never noticed it. My wife had to show them. They had no explanation has to how it happened. So how can they sit there and say it didn't require immediate medical attention? We find that really convenient. This whole ordeal just showed my wife and I, that the staff doesn't pay attention to the dogs and the owner really could care less. We don't see the point in pursuing a reimbursement over the vet bill, because the owner will probably just come up with more excuses. We're really disappointed at how this place has pretty much taken a turn for the worst. We see it as a huge safety concern now and will never bring our dog back. We get that things happen, but a good dog care facility would be on top of it and handle it properly. Hot Diggity Dog definitely is not one of them. We've also heard some recent horror stories from other people at the local dog park who bring their dogs there. Many of them in regards to illness. We would not recommend bringing your dog here. No way. Not anymore.
