Ok. Let me be clear. This is typically our choice for sushi. Not because it's the greatest sushi in the world but because we like the service and atmosphere and can't go wrong with happy hour menu. Tonight, we called ahead for party of 6. I spoke to Rachel who told me they did not usually take phone reservations but that she would oblige me because there was only one party on list in front of us. We arrived five minutes afterward-I was told we would be texted when table was ready and that they would text when table available. We watched EVERY SINGLE PARTY be seated ahead of us and FINALLY received text one hour and 49 minutes after talking to Rachel. Sadly for RA, we already were at Ginban enjoying drinks and appetizers because we grew tired of watching walk in parties be seated before us. Also sad for RA: my boyfriend and I used to regularly choose this for late night, dinner, and happy hour. Now, I will NEVER spend my $$ there. Not when I can choose from places with food and drink that compete and that pretend to value my patronage like Stingray, mido, or Ginban. Btw. If you drive two miles southwest into awhatukee, you will find a sushi restaurant that is just as good or better and where the staff value your patronage. Thanks Ginban. FU RA. You guys won't get a cent of my business EVER AGAIN. If I could give .0135 stars- I totally would. You guys suck. Your sushi is average and your hostesses don't know how to anticipate a mid size party. You pissed me off beyond repair tonight.
