| - This was a very tasty and reasonable priced little restaurant. The atmosphere is very homey; of course, its in what used to be an old house. When you pull up, on Oregon St., it is the back of the restaurant. You'll have to walk on the north side through what used to be a backyard gate. As soon as you pass through the gate you realize how charming the outdoor patio will be once all the construction is complete for the other shops/restaurants.
We got to the restaurant just a little before 9:00am and we were sat immediately. The young lady doing the register/host duties sat us and got us our drinks.
Since everyone suggested the Mornin' Monte, we got that; we also got the cheddar biscuits & steak and pepper skillet. As I said before, all were tasty. The Mornin' Monte was a little sweet for me, but my wife thought it was just right. She especially liked the special marmalade that came with it. The steak and peppers were prepared wonderfully and the chedder biscuits were smothered in gravy.
If they don't use the patio, it is very small (maybe 10 tables). Because of the seating situation, know that a wait is probably more the norm, for anytime after 10:00am. Again, it was very good, we plan to come back.
