We bring our dog here for day camp when we are spending the day in the Phoenix area. It is near to Ikea! yay! and all other places I want to go plus on the south end of Phoenix area so we can drop her off first thing and pick her up on the way out. They are open early and stay open late (7am - 9pm) so that is super helpful too (though I believe they go into a kennel after 5pm)! Most other dog day cares will only stay open til 5 and any time after that is considered boarding and you are charged that amount. Cost is reasonable for someone to watch my dog all day and she gets some socialization too. She has a lot of fun at day camp (I think) except she always bumps into the glass wall when she first gets in - thinking she's running out. They really should put up some stickers or something to not confuse the dogs. I do like to look at my dog interacting with the other dogs through the glass though (we try to hide so she doesn't run towards us and smash into the glass). But other than that, the dogs in day camp are put in the room with 1 or 2 attendants who carry water bottles to break up potential fights and have a mop in the room to quickly wipe up the messes. They keep it pretty clean for the amount of dogs in there. I don't think the pups get any outside time though but I haven't toured or asked where their "potty area" is either. My dog is low energy so she's cool with that. She is always tired on the drive home. I also like reading the report card - they have some funny writers doing those report cards. Oh and the check-in staff (as that's all I've interacted with) are pretty nice too. You can also get them groomed and order special treats for them while they're there. There are a lot of regular dogs that go there too and it's always been busy on the weekends.
Also, it's pretty cool that they often have multiple pet shelters/rescues doing adoptions going on during the weekend when we bring our pup.
