| - Sadly my review is similar to all the other negative reviews. Here's my experience;
My phone, which I've had for about a year, stopped working - not charging or turning on. No problem right, after all I had the insurance plan on my phone through Sprint. I hadn't run over it, dropped it, or submerged it in fluid, etc, etc.
So I look for a Sprint Store near me through Sprint.com and viola! I find this store. I head over and I'm greeted by Zak, and per his Sprint name tag, he's the Assistant Manger.
I tell Zak exactly what I stated above, he took it looked at the phone and smelt it. Yeah, he smelt it like a dog would a bone. "It's toast" he quipped, so of course I ask can you fix it or get me a new one? He removes the small sd card cover peers in for a few seconds and says "oh, nope, it's been wet before and that's why it fried." He was kind enough to tell me how I qualified for a new phone, one that I could leave the store with that day. I was suspicious, so I finally yelped this place and low and behold this store is not owned by Sprint, it's a contact store, who, even though the store has all the markings of a Sprint store including a repair and tech capabilities, is really no different than a kiosk at a mall. I took the same phone to a "sprint store" in Tempe on McClintock and Southern rds and even though they too tried to talk me up on a new phone, they took the phone had it disassembled and inspected and found that the battery shorted out burning the motherboard, something nothing related to water damage nor was any of the water indicators positive for water. The tech at the tempe store seemed surprised that Zak was able to diagnose water damage from looking through a slot no larger/thicker than thumb nail. I know how, he was just bullshitting me to sell me a new phone for 400 bucks now and higher cost plan (new phone would require another $25 monthly access fee). That was a dick move Zak, I'll be back, but probably just to look at the phones and then order online, it looks like there's more incentives if I order online than come here and deal with douche bags like Zak. Caveat Emptor folks. ....
