My respite from the tediously trendy, overthought pretentious concepts, and rapidly escalating price gouging of Lawrenceville is Hambones. Wood paneling walls, an owner whose name I know (and I think he knows mine), well-priced beer and shockingly good food. Really good food. The Mac-N-Cheese with beef brisket is life changing. I've never had a bad meal. And Taco night. This is not a place you get dressed up to visit, not a place you'll see suburban SUV's lined up outside. It's authentic and awesome.
