I moved with Tender Touch Moving (TTM) at the end of June 2012. If you are moving then you are probably short on time so I will give you a quick & dirty list of my experience:
PRO
-The customer service before the move was exceptional
-The day before the move I had to switch the moving time and TTM was able to accommodate me. Awesome!
-Three guys in uniform showed up and were very professional and friendly throughout the move. Each one introduced himself at the beginning
CON
-Nobody called me the day before the move to confirm
-There was nothing Tender about the move. Several pieces of furniture ended up with chips, cracks and holes. This was despite our shrink wrapping everything ourselves before TTM even showed up
-I spent time watching how they moved furniture from afar and I saw some shocking handling of my furniture (bumping into ceiling beams needlessly and dragging across hardwood floors)
-It was a very warm day of about 33 degrees and only one guy showed up with a beverage. (Be sure to offer your mover water as they really appreciated it when I popped off to the store for juice, pop and water.)
-Our move cost about $400 more than the estimate. Yes, we did spend one hour in traffic. But it still seemed pretty far off the estimate.
-Nobody from TTM called us after the move to follow up on the service.
