| - Eldorado is a very decent casino for locals. Of the three Water Street Casinos (the other two being Emerald Island Casino and Club Rainbow), Eldorado is probably my least favorite, but it is still better than most other locals casinos in other parts of town. It even has a few advantages over the other two, so this might be the place for you depending on what your looking for.
Eldorado is the biggest of the three Water Street Casinos, and the only one with a parking garage. They are also the only one that has a bingo hall if your interested in playing it. They have pretty good payouts on the machines, though not as good as there nearby competition. Of course, those payouts are still better than half the bars and casinos in town. If your a gambler, the biggest advantage to playing here is they are the only of the three casinos that offers freeplay in their mailers. They also send meal comps and dining coupons fairly regularly to.
Their diner is actually very good, though again, I think their nearby competition is better. Their prices are very, very low and they even have a salad bar that comes with most meals. It's modeled after a fifties diner and always has a few daily specials.
Just like the other two Water Street Casinos, they offer very low stakes gambling and are very generous on comping drinks. An average .20 cent bet will get you a free beer or well drink, though they have no draft (go to Emerald Isle if you want better beer while you gamble).
Water Street is probably the best place for a locals gambler, especially one on a budget, to got and have a good time. As I mentioned above, Eldorado is better than 90% of the locals casinos in town, and it is really my personal preference that makes me slightly prefer the other two casinos. If getting free play, or playing bingo, is more important to you than draft beer or better odds, then this is the place for you.
