| - I've been a loyal customer of Coupe Bizarre on Queen West for years, but after 2.5 years on the east end I decided it was time to find a salon closer to home.
I ventured out to Textur Studio a couple of days ago. Once I get an idea in my head, I tend to act quickly, which works with Textur. I called at 12:30 and I had an appointment for 2:30 the same day.
I had my hair cut by the owner, Allison. She was lovely, asked questions and kept the conversation going through the entire appointment.
To start I'm not a fan of my hair. It's wavy, prone to frizziness on humid days, and almost never looks the same as it did 30 minutes after I walk out the door. I also am not daring when it comes to my super slow growing hair. I expressed all of this to Allison. She listened suggested a course of action and away we went.
The appointment took exactly the allotted hour and included a shampoo, rinse, scalp massage, cut and style. For $60, I thought this was awesome value.
The test is that after several days, I'm able to wash my hair and go without feeling the need to straighten it so that it looks good. The layers she added have helped lighten my hair's weight which seems to make it more willing to wave through and not just on the top.
If you're looking for a great hair cut in the east end I'd highly recommend trying them out. I'm thinking I may go back and try some colour!!
