| - I want to say I am a HUGE Apple fan, we own 3 iPhones, 3 iPads, an iPod touch, and 2 shuffles for my kids and of course our home computers are Macs
That being said, we try to avoid this store like the plague! "Geniuses" are very condescending, if you are not there to actually buy, they are less than thrilled to help.
We have purchased our items either from Target, Costco, apple.com and the iStore (when it was still open). About the only things we bought there was when we took our kids to pick out their iPods as a gift.
We've had issues with both my husband's iPads (2nd gen and Air), Wi-fi antenna (on both occasions weren't working well), they just took it and gave him new iPads. Sad thing was, I had gotten the iPads engraved, so lost out on that.
I like you can go to any Apple Store anywhere in the world with your apple product, so we've been to a few apple stores through the years in Mexico and Denmark (having problems with our devices while traveling), and on both cases, they were super kind and happy to help, none of this "make and appt with the genius bar" BS, we were there, they were able to help between customers (take a number, come back in X mins, etc), and problem fixed!
If we ever come across any problem with any of our devices, we always go online for trouble shooting, or apple support, anything to avoid asking these "geniuses" a question!
