| - Casbah is one of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food and service are always impeccable. Though pricey, I think it is worth every penny. Dinner entrees are always amazing, brunch is fantastic, and lunch is also great- the Piccolo gusto menu allows you to try mini portions of 3 things (salad, pasta, half sandwich) without falling asleep when you get back to work, for 15 bucks. The service can be slower during weekday lunch and sometimes the fish entrees are a little less than spectacular (likely a result of product limitations in Pittsburgh), but those are the only less-than-stellar feedback points I can give.
Also, with a new baby in our family, I really appreciate that despite being a classy and delicious restaurant, Casbah is pretty kid friendly. The tables on the covered patio accommodate a stroller really well.
Lastly, Casbah has several prix fixe themed dinners throughout the year. We went recently when they were doing a Greek theme, it was outstanding and I couldn't believe how good of a value it was, with or without the wine pairings.
All reasons why we will keep going to Casbah regularly!
