First of all, I have very short hair and I'm a guy, so take my review with a tiny grain of salt. It's pretty hard to screw my hair up.
I like Great Clips because I can check-in online before I go. They have an accurate wait time (usually between 0-10 minutes) which you can also view on the web.
Once I arrive at the salon, I tell them my name and phone number and they call me up when they are ready. My normal haircut information is saved in my profile which is created the first time you go to a Great Clips.
I don't think I've ever had a bad haircut here. It's inexpensive (currently $13 for a regular men's cut) and I've only been pressured to buy an extra product once (this lady made a big, long story up about how she could see new hair growth on my head and then ended her pitch with some special cream that they only sold at their store).
Overall, I've had a pretty good experience going to Great Clips. If you have fancy hair or require special services, you'll probably want to go somewhere a little more upscale.
