Finally made it down to Sauceman's for dinner. At this point I have been to most BBQ restaurants in Charlotte proper and turns out I saved the best for last! I liked Sauceman's better than Midwood Smokehouse based solely on the chicken and pulled pork as they were out of Brisket at 5:30. Great atmosphere with live music playing and you can choose to order at the counter or sit at the bar for full service.
Descent selection of beers and top notch Que! The pulled pork and ribs had great smoked flavor and were well seasoned. The St.Louis Style ribs were moist and and meaty. The pulled pork was spot on and the smoked chicken hit the spot. Three sauce options including Eastern Carolina Vinegar, Western Carolina with tomato and a mustard based sauce. Sides included house battered onion rings, house cut fries and baked beans. Several other options including Mac and cheese, slaw and potato salad on the menu as well.
I look forward to my next trip to Sauceman's!
