I love love La Grande Orange, but I absolutely cannot give them 5 stars! Their parking is a nightmare! Not only is valet parking a turn off, but it is still not convenient here and the attendants are rather rude considering you are their customer. I have tried to visit at off times and the parking is always the gripe.
There's just something that goes against my grain to pay to go out to dinner only to be forced into paying for parking. I'm used to most places that if you spend say $25 or so, they offer free parking. Yes there is a small pick up free parking area, but it is always full and trust me I've tried for 20 minutes before to get parking there - not going to happen.
The pizza is delicious and probably my second favorite in the valley to Pizzeria Bianco. The appetizers are delicious and the little grocery and gift shop next door is fun.
I would come here a LOT more if they came up with a better parking solution, but every time I think of that parking lot.. my thoughts are.. I'll try somewhere new.
The pizza crust has a perfect texture, and is nearly a sourdough base. We tried The Fallen Angel which is out of this world - the housemade sausage makes it along with the shaved fennel.
We tried their Pizzeria Chop Salad which was out of this world, another dish I would order again. They also do an amazing grilled artichoke which is delightfully executed.
For dessert we headed on next door!
