  • Do yourself a favor.. DONT EVER PURCHASE FROM IKEA. Unless you are in for blood boiling headaches for months. Yelp makes you give at least one star, but Ikea absolutely doesnt deserve even that. We ordered a whole kitchen from them. Mistake #1. Everyone at Ikea is pretty much incompetent and have no idea what is going on. Everyone we talked to asking the same question gave different (and wrong) answers. This order was placed online and took over 2 months to deliver, and many horrible phone calls in between. It takes an average 1-2 hours on the phone with Ikea, where 90% of the time you are on hold, and then when you get to a human, you are switched to another department, thus waiting another 45 minutes on hold. They give you no information or updates to your order. So when you are trying to plan for a re-model of a house, you can't plan anything because Ikea will give you completely wrong information or no information at all... ie: when you order will be delivered, what is the status, what is in stock. They re-booked our order, changed our order number, delivery date, everything, without notifying us (took another 2 hours on the phone to figure this out). Oh they also increased the price of our order without telling us, thinking we wouldnt notice - how sneaky. When the order was finally received (in 3 separate shipments and 3 separate absurd delivery charges, when we requested only 1 shipment), obviously things were missing from the order... I mean we were stupid to think that they would get it right after all we've been through, they are literally the dumbest people. I'm not going to go on further because everytime I talk or think about Ikea I want to jump off the nearest building because they make me so angry. I am currently sitting on hold with them (listening to their dumb ass music) for 47 minutes now, because they neglected to put one set of door hinges in our package, so we literally cant even finish our kitchen because of their incompetence, and I cant even order another because I can never get a hold of them. Dont let the cheaper prices fool you, as we did, as you are so much better ordering from any other place. PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE, you will just be disappointed and a more mad person by going through them.
