| - I love my Ba Ba Barbeque Baby! And after going to the U.H. Warrior Football game.......what better way to end the evening then to eat some Ba Ba Barbeque!!!!
My friend suggested this place called - "Rollin Smoke Barbeque" so we flipped on our GPS and headed to the back roads to a seedy part of town (where there were a lot of strip clubs, bars, & adult book stores).........but then when we finally found this place and walked in............ I was in Ba Ba Barbeque heaven!!!!
The restaurant was really packed, and as we walked to the counter, the friendly clerk took our orders. After you order your food, you find an open table (good luck), and when your food is ready, they will bring your order out to you.
There is a Sauce station within the restaurant where you can get additional BBQ sauce. I want to point out.........try the "Mama Sweet" BBQ sauce! It was bomb @ss good! My friend liked this BBQ sauce so much, I actually saw him put it in a little cup & drink the sauce! That's how much he loved the BBQ sauce!
Before you sit down at your table, you will also have to get your own plastic eating utensils, napkins, as well as your own drinks, as the soda fountain within the restaurant was self serve.
For my meal that night, I ordered the "Trio Choice of Meats" - where I picked the following - Brisket, 1/4 Chicken, & 2 Spare Ribs. ($17.99)
One of my friends also ordered the "Trio Choice of Meats" - where he picked the Brisket, 2 Spare Ribs, & Hot Links. ($17.99)
And my other friend ordered the "Duo Choice Of 2 Meats" - where he picked the Brisket, & Pulled Pork. ($13.99)
With our meals came with a side, and I ended up taking the corn bread. All of our meals came with collard greens, and the collard greens had some kind of smoked meat mixed inside.
What can I say about the grub?
I totally loved the BBQ Chicken! The chicken meat was all so soft, and the meal literally fell off the bone.......nice smokey flavor too!
The spare ribs was also delicious, and I just loved how the meat came off of the bone so easily! I really loved how soft the BBQ ribs were.......
As for the brisket.........it was just okay for me. Loved the smokey flavor, but I gotta tell you the brisket wasn't very soft. I've had better tasting brisket on Oahu.......from "Verde" in Kaimuki.
Overall a pretty good barbeque joint! No frills..........kinda of place, and they definitely churn out some pretty great barbeque meats!
Be careful of your surroundings when coming here........if I was with my girlfriend, I'd probably pass on this place.........my friend also mentioned to me that if he was here with his wife & kids, he'd probably do the same.
