rev:text	I called just brakes to find out how much it would be to replace my front brake pads and I was given an amount of $139. The amount seemed reasonable so I decided to drive into the w. Tropicana location just west of fort Apache where I was greeted by a nice gentlemen named Bill. I explained I only needed front brake pads and Bill stated he would have the technician asses the vehicle. Bill called me outside to walk around the car while he gave me the assessment from the technician. I thought this was a nice process to ensure I could trust what Needed to be done. Upon the assessment I was told the front brake pads needed to be replaced, in Addition, to New rotors(since the techs said could not be resurfaced). I was then told the calipers needed to be replaced but since the tech was trying to "save me money", he could just rebuild them for me. He mentioned the calipers were very unsafe and recommended the rebuild immediately. Next, we proceeded towards the back of the car where Bill had mentioned the brake pads should be replaced but the rotors were still good. After the walk around we went back into the lounge area where Bill printed me an estimate in the amount of $1000. Give or take a few bucks. I was shocked!!!! I asked what the break down was. Bill was told by the tech who assessed my truck I should have brand new brake pads and rotors for the front and back, caliper rebuild for the front and of course a new serpentine belt. Wow!!! I just wanted brake pads for the front. I told Bill to have the tech put my truck down and I would be going now. Then Bill goes on to say "let me see what we can do to save you money because you want to be safe". Bill then offers me the option of obtaining a credit card through them and finance the amount. I rejected and said no thank you. Now comes in Mike who is the hard core sales guy. Mike goes on to wheel and deal like a dirty car salesman. I am then told they will do the brake pads for the front and back and resurface the rotors rather than replacing. As for the calipers, he suggested I would be ok for now; however, I should get them done very soon. Again, these guys just want to save me money. I decide to go ahead and get the brakes done since they cut my bill by 3/4 of the price. I was told by Mike the brakes would take an hour or just a little over. After an hour I returned to the shop and the truck was still not done. I proceeded to ask how much longer and I was given an answer of just a few. Mike comes into the lounge and tells me is going to me another 30 minutes. At this point I said I don't have the time I need to pick up my daughter from school. He comes back and tells me ok he will just finish with the resurface of the back rotors and not instal the brake pads. Now Mike tells me he doesn't have the back brake pads and it would take another 20 minutes for them to be delivered. Again, I stated I had to go. Mike then informs me he will have the tech finish with the resurface of the rotors. Why do I need to resurface the rotors when the brake pads were good to begin with. I walked out of there feeling violated and degraded. These guys are crooks!!!! They see a woman and an infant and decide to take advantage of my naiveness when it comes to cars. And don't bother arguing with them because they always have an excuse for everything!!!! Very disappointed I hope they go out of business and stop taking advantage of people.
