I went here with my GF to grab some beers and eat from La Palapa's food truck outside. I had a very below average night as far as things went. I used to like the blackstrap stout and at one time I liked fat gary brown ale. That night I don't know what was wrong, but the beers all had this funny ash tray kind of aftertaste that was really unpleasant. I am not sure whether they hadn't cleaned out their taps, or what. Anways, all the beers tasted really nasty. Too top that off the guy serving beer tried to get into an arguement with me about the fact that all beers are actually ales....which is not actually true(but, really why argue with a customer in the first place?). They also have you serve your own table. Meaning, after you are done you need to bring the glasses back up to the front of the place. I know that they are a brewery and alot of breweries that own brew pubs get away with this type of laziness, but it's getting pretty old. If you have a "brew pub" you now own a bar in my book and you should have servers there. I think we are well beyond this type of old school mentality.
