Very friendly staff and guide. However, I spent the whole ride concerned about the welfare of the horses. It was a very warm day at the end of March with temperatures in the low 90's. The horses have no shade. Not on the trail and not back in the corral where they wait saddled up until they are takenout again for another ride. I know the park has guidelines about the type of structures allowed, but it seems to me that some minimum accommodations can be made to provide shade for the horses in the Arizona heat. I asked the guide about this and he mentioned something about this being a possibility in the future. I hope so!
