I am still trying to process what happened with this contractor. They were sent out by my home warranty company. They said the damage wouldn't be covered by my warranty but would be $725 to fix. I paid the 1/2 up front then didn't see them for weeks. I called once wondering what was going on. Finally they just showed up the same day my painters were here and I said to the man, it is going to be hard for you because the painters are here. Days later I looked out at my roof that was to be repaired and could see it clearly hadn't been fixed yet and assumed they would be back. Instead of coming back Leslie and Lolilee were demanding I pay or I would be assessed late fees and ultimately would put a lien on my property. That I needed to "pay first and work out any issues with the warranty as that was what the warranty is for." I wasn't clear on what she meant but know I didn't need late fees or a lien over the remaining hold back. So I paid it but I was pretty unhappy and said they needed to get out here and finish the job. They kept saying they were coming but never did. I can see this part of my roof easily from my balcony and the roof was never fixed. Then I received another e-mail saying late fees would accrue starting 12/1. I looked at my bank account and confirmed they had already cashed the check days before they sent that e-mail. Honestly it was an awful experience and I have never had a bad experience with a contractor before. I called another company to do the repair and he was so nice and professional and fixed it for $150 in about 20 minutes. $150! TLC was threatening to charge me $350 just for the trip to come back to look at it. I've since canceled my home appliance warranty over this as I would have been better off calling someone on my own.
