The name of this place should be enough to convince you to rent a kayak and get your Lake Erie on. ADVENTURES!!! This summer in CLE, you need to spend at least one morning on the water.
If you're not into kayaking off of Downtown Cleveland proper, hitting the kayak from Edgewater in Lakewood is just an equally nice vantage point. Also, if you're interested in stepping up your kayak game to be super legit, 41 North offers high quality classes ranging from Intro to Paddling to Advanced Rescue. They also even do basic certifications to be an ACA instructor. But if you're not trying to be super hardcore, maybe settle for an intro 3 hour course.
I'm no wilderness maven, but I enjoy a good cruise on Lake Erie. The rental process has always been super easy, and I've had my eye on doing one of their tours FOREVER. You can book online to participate in a 3-5 hour pre-created tour, ranging from the "Cliffs & Coves of Lakewood" to the "Burning River Sunset" tour. Hellooooo summer.
