I took my baby in to see Dr. Beyers because a family member recommended her because she was more "reasonably priced" than our normal vet. Well, I learned the hard way, you get what you pay for. I spent a long time explaining and going over my dogs history, especially with valley fever and how i was concerned with some lumps. The lumps I was so concerned about...i was told she was fat and those were love handles. I pretty much had to beg her to do the valley fever test. I KNOW MY DOG! I almost lost her to valley fever years ago, so when I asked, I should have gotten the simple blood draw. Sure enough, her valley fever was back. Had I not insisted on the test, who knows what would have happened. I took her back to the vet we have been seeing for years, and they knew by LOOKING at her something was wrong with her hips, the "love handles". Her knee that Dr. Beyers said was arthritis due to old age is totally deteriorated due to valley fever or cancer. I am so glad I went with my gut to get another opinion. This is the short version of what Dr. Beyers did NOT catch. Do not take your babies here, it's not worth the cost savings. She literally could have killed my dog because she was lazy. She is known as "reasonable " because she does no testing. My mom also took her dog there and she ignored symptoms and pleas for tests and now she suffers from seizures. But that is a whole other story of incompetence.
