I am on a search to find the best BBQ pork in the city. I start by looking for restaurants with hanging duck and pig because that is usually a good sign of authenticity in my book. I have been to a few places in the Chinatown area and they all taste remarkably similar in terms of this dish and I have not been blown away yet.
BBQ King unfortunately did not blow me away either. I tried the duck and BBQ pork lunch special which is served with a heaping portion of rice and some Chinese broccoli. Overall the meal was fine and the BBQ pork was solid, but it wasn't the one. It cost less than $10 and filled me up so for the price I do recommend.
In the end I am still searching for the best BBQ pork in the city because this was not quite what I'm looking for in terms of quality and authenticity. Just a reminder that the lunch specials end at 3pm and the restaurant is cash only.
