We've visited LV many times but this was our first time on the High Roller! I would highly recommend visiting at night. The lights and atmosphere just looks way cooler! We can appreciate the beauty of height at a great distance but I would not recommend for anyone who is afraid of heights (i.e. my husband).
What I liked most of this location is the promenade. Just the walk to get here was very fun and interesting, I think we enjoyed the journey most prior to arrival.
When you actually arrive there are people at the front of the door checking for tickets and then a small lobby area, before you actually get in line there are people who are double checking for tickets with scanners. The actual line itself is basically a tourist walk-through. There are photos along the way and then you have to take a photo in which they try to get you to purchase afterwards.
Its all about timing; you have to walk quickly with a small jump into the open doors of the glass rooms in order to ride the high roller, something they should let people know who may be handicapped or elderly. Also the seats inside are the same ones you ride on a public bus or subway. Not comfortable and it's pretty bare inside. I thought maybe each glass room would be Vegas decorated (if you know what I mean).
A three stars for a night time view of Vegas with hard seats and a smell of riding on public transportation. They offer some information during the ride but I would prefer music. They should offer music of choice or some type of cool ambiance.
