  • Visited The Otheroom on a Sunday afternoon with four friends; the room was fairly quiet, with perhaps 6-8 patrons at the bar. Our group of five took over a quiet table in a dark corner (some days I'm a little bit Mulder), and our charming server quickly arrived to pass out drink menus filled with amusingly-titled cocktails. We all ordered simultaneously, and my Grow a Pear arrived after a wait of about 10 minutes. Then another 10 minutes passed. Then *another* 10. No drinks. The server came back periodically to apologize for the delay (and, with a full-on view of the bar, I knew it wasn't her fault). As noted in another Yelper's (Yelpist's?) review that will probably appear just below or just above this one, I finished my drink before any of the others arrived. When all was said and done, it took 35 minutes for four drinks to be made and delivered. My Grow a Pear was, in fairness, magnificent. I'm a bit of a sucker for Japanese whisky as well as any pear-based cocktail, so I might be biased. But still, two thumbs up for that one. And the service we *directly* experienced (our server) was very good. But I've never in my life waited that long for a drink, and I really felt for my fellow Vegas buddies. I did show up within a few days of The Otheroom's opening, and I may try it again at some point. But not with a group. :)
