  • I just purchased 4 tires and had them mounted and installed here. I couldn't be more happy with the process, service, and installation. I would say that I am a pretty informed shopper who is quite price conscious. So I knew exactly what kind of tires I wanted. Checking on the tire manufacturer's page, I found all the installers in the area that carried their line. I emailed all the installers for a quote. Yorktown was the most inexpensive (save Walmart) and had the best reviews online. To be fair, because I am a penny pincher, I was going to go the Walmart route.... until I did a little digging. Walmart installers told me that they might not know how to hook up my auto pressure sensors. And Walmart offers NO manufacturer's warranty on their tires. No 30 day return, no 50k mile tread warranty. That was deal killer to me. Then I considered buying online and using a big box installer less than a mile from my house. After a phone call to the installer, where they gave me incorrect information and treated me like an adolescent, it killed that deal. So I called up Yorktown and placed my order and I am so happy I did. They were pleasant to deal with. They didn't treat me like an idiot. They were extremely communicative. They were fast. And while I waited, I got a free good coffee, and an inexpensive (but awesome) breakfast burrito. On top of it all, they were well priced. Again, they were not the cheapest compared to online. But after some previous terrible issues with Sears, some issues with Walmart, and the big box tire stores, the minor difference in price is not worth it! What is worth it? Not being price gouged, not being treated different because I have breasts, not being lied to, having excellent service, making it an easy transaction, and supporting a local business! It was worth even traveling a little bit to get there. Thank you ladies and gents of Yorktown!
