| - There aren't that many highly rated Indian restaurant on the strip (so it seems - please message me if am wrong) so we went for what, according to other yelpers, was above average. First, it turns out that this place is inside a mall and is part of the food court ensemble. This is not obvious from the address. Nevertheless, we waited to be delighted by some savory Indian food but left with a rather mixed score. I ordered the vegetarian thali which is served with three side dishes, yogurt, pickle, rice, and a naan.
Let's start with the good. The naan was really thin, crisp and yummy. A perfectly charred creation from the clay oven. Yogurt raita was fine as well. Mango lassi was simply marvelous. The three dishes - Chick peas, Saag, and Lentils - were surprisingly sub-par. For one, they were served a bit cold. Second the saag and chick peas just didn't have any zest and tasted very "formulaic" with no character. None of the flavors really stood out. Almost as if the cook's heart was not it.
Serving was quick - it's after all inside a mall's food court. We just wanted something within walking distance this time but will dig deeper for good Indian food on the next trip.
