| - Honestly, if I was rating the food, it would be in the 4 star range. It was pretty tasty I have to say.
I ordered a lemon & herb whole chicken with peri peri fries. SO TASTY. Chicken definitely tasted "flame grilled" and the fries were hot, crisp and flavourful. Really good.
The main problem is the atmosphere/the location itself. Came here for dinner, and immediately when you walk in, it was pretty hectic. The restaurant itself is kind of small. There's a mix and match of different kind of seats; one side booth seating, curvey corner booth couches, cloth seats and metal chairs.
Since this is a "eat with your hands" kind of place, anything cloth is stained and nasty. My seat was pretty gross; it had seen some better days. I don't get why they don't just use all metal seats so you can wipe and clean things up better? Booth seats are the vinyl material so I guess they're clean-ish. Also there are no napkins you can get yourself - you have to ask for them???... Guess that's why the seats are dirty.
Maybe it was just because I went and had bad luck, but the other patrons that come here, that looked like they've been here before made the experience a little worse...You've got some late teenagers/super early 20 something year olds talking loudly about credit scores and their grand plans for their future/get successful quick schemes, a family with like 8 kids (I'm not kidding I think I only saw 2 adults, and the rest were children), and other people kind of standing around clueless watching you eat/letting their kids run around.
Overall, good food, could use a good cleaning, and bad crowd.
