When shit hits the fan certain people in the community step up, others turn to assholes. Good luck Mohamet. We will spend our money someplace else.
Traveling from Minnesota to Indianapolis a national weather advisory for severe fog was issued for the area it became unsafe to drive in our RV, we called off work for Wednesday and were forced to spend the night not 2hrs from home. The police escorted us to the IGA parking lot where we could spend the night and waited while we set down.
When the store opened I went in to thank the store and purchase supplies. Employees never found the manager. My wife called while I was in the store: the manager had come out to the trailer and was pounding on the door insisting she come out. When she explained she was not decent he began to shout that we needed to pack up and get out, we were not welcome. (Mind you this is 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, save employees the parking lot was empty). Kelly tried to explain through the door, that the police had brought us to spend the night. He demanded we needed to leave immediately and ACTUALLY SAID we should never come back. If I had had any idea he was accosting my wife in the parking lot I can tell you I would have done more than just put the groceries down and left the store.
Ultimately I'm dumbfounded by the behavior of the store manager and I'm angry that he would treat a customer and a stranger in such a manner. His over the top aggressiveness will gain him the attention of his corporate.
* not that this should matter, we arrived at the IGA after 11 p.m. the store closed at 10. We were shopping when they opened at 7 a.m. We were not parked in the parking lot but in a side gravel lot where there were three truck widths in front and behind us. 2 semis and a garbage truck had no problem traveling past us.
And we were a full-sized luxury suv and a 30' sport trailer, by no means an eye sore.
We apologize to the town of Mohamet for any inconvenience.
Thank You to the kind Officer for seeing we were safe for the night.
