With the staff being as friendly as they are I feel bad about only giving it two stars but that's exactly what it is, mediocre of not less than mediocre. For a small restaurant I wouldn't expect the food to be like cafeteria food but that's exactly what it is. Anything fried on the menu is pretty good but once you stray from the fried items, be prepared to be eating green beans straight out of the can and food from a box.
If the food was more like Omega's down the road, then I'd be more of a regular at Phat Daddy's but I wasn't impressed by the food. The staff, yes, but not the food.
