| - Came here on a hot summery Friday morning with a friend since we were intrigued by the idea of venturing towards a new healthy cafe in the downtown Summerlin area. By no means is Panacea purely vegan, however they do carry a lot of plant-based items on their menu.
Sadly they didn't have any samples that day to try, so I decided to splurge a little on the dessert side of their inventory since I don't come by this side of town often.
I opted for their Divine Feminine smoothie since it had the highest intake of antioxidants out of all their smoothies. Originally I wanted to get their Gratitude smoothie since I prefer citrusy flavors, but that'll be an order for another day. This one drink in particular had an inconspicuous taste of berry overload, which is great as I wouldn't have it any other way. An easy sip to finish and I had enough to savor it even upon leaving the building.
Their Chef's Special for dessert was Panacea's version of a raspberry cheesecake with a poppy petal decor on top. A simplistic aesthetic on the eyes. The verdict it being rather tart in taste, it lacked the soft and mushy feeling of a cheesecake though, and if you didn't douse the cake with the sweet raspberry sauce it would seem rather dry in texture.
Lastly, I took it upon myself to order at least one flavor of their plant-based truffles: goji berry, pistachio, matcha, and some other flavor that I completely forgot. Honestly they all had a taste of granola flavor to them, but the aftertaste wasn't bitter either. I would recommend to have these eaten with greek yogurt to offset the plainness.
