  • After seeing Tasty Thai on the PBS show Check Please, I decided I needed to try it for myself. I went about an hour before closing on Saturday, so there was plenty of seating available. The first thing that struck me was that the restaurant was very clean. It is always great to see that in any restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and took my order quickly. I ordered the red Thai curry chicken and asked for it to be mild. While I do like Thai food, I am not one seeking to be wiped out by something super spicy. I was very pleased that the curry came at the perfect level of spice for my tastes. The curry contained a good selection of fresh vegetables, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. There was enough to take home for a second meal. I really enjoyed the food at Tasty Thai, thought the service was attentive, and appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant. If you happen to be on the east side and are craving Thai food, definitely have lunch or dinner there.
