| - A dear friend of mine, who's favorite dessert is anything at Nothing Bundt Cakes, made me make a stop here on my way through metro Phoenix on a nice casual Saturday late afternoon. I'm glad that they did close later than I thought.
I did have Nothing Bundt Cakes before in California, but that was years ago. I was reminded by my subconscious that I was in Phoenix and knew there was locations here, so I asked Siri where was the nearest location while I was driving on the I-10 eastbound near Tempe. I ended up here at this location at about 5:00pm and was glad that they were still open. Being that I was a newcomer to the area, I had a little problem finding the actual store, but eventually drove around the strip mall parking lot and found it after 7 minutes. I did like the colorful signage that marked the entrance to the store. The store was a quintessential bakery. Not too big or small. Just right. I must have spent about 10 minutes maximum here before making my purchase and departing. My friend from Texas wasn't wrong. These Bundt Cakes are super rich and moist. Wish I can make it like this at home, but I can't. So so good! The overall experience here at Nothing Bundt Cakes here in Phoenix Arizona was nothing short was great. The service was alright and the Cakes were obviously the stars of the show!
Nothing Bundt Cakes are the quintessential necessity to one's daily living - or at least once a month just to indulge. I live in HI, so we don't have this there, so it was definitely a treat coming here and getting 2 of my favorite flavors and indulging to my heart's content. I envy those who live around Phoenix and have access to here. It was very very sweet and definitely worth the time. While brownies are one of my top favorites, these particular Bundt Cakes come in a very close second! This particular Nothing Bundt Cakes location is 4290 E Indian School here in Phoenix. They accept major credit cards, which is always a great thing, as well as cash. The parking situation here is fairly good and reasonable. I thought that the $4 price point per Bundt cake, regardless of flavor, was a pretty good deal. The satisfaction you get from eating just one of them was simply great and quite accomplished in my own right. I wouldn't go as far as worth gaining weight for, but it's definitely worth buying on a monthly basis just to treat yourself.
For what it's worth, I think that Nothing Bundt Cakes is a proven winner. The Bundt Cakes themselves are as deserving as your Saturday night wine and your weekly cheat day item of choice. At the end of the day, the Bundt cake can be your best friend forever, if you let it be. While the experience inside the bakery was just alright, the Bundt cake itself already made up for it. For this experience here at the Phoenix area Nothing Bundt Cakes, I purchased the chocolate chocolate flavor and a white chocolate raspberry flavor. I can't tell you how awesome my evening went when I put those Bundt Cakes in my mouth. It was as decadent as having a moist chewy brownie, but not quite. It's different kind of experience, but a very nice way to cap off an great half week in Arizona. I'd recommend coming here if you have not been and if you are a chocolate lover, you'd need to get the chocolate chocolate one. Can't say enough good things about it. Can't wait till I visit another Nothing Bundt Cakes locale on another visit to the mainland uS.
4.5 stars for the Bundt Cakes themselves. 3.5 stars for the ambiance. Yep, just a bakery with awesome stuff. Service was 4.0 stars.
