I love Korean BBQ and I love sushi.... so what's better than combining the two... all you can eat sushi and BBQ!!
I was excited to try a new Korean place but I'm always wary because I'm from LA... and I'm also Korean. I'm picky when It comes to Korean food and it can never really compare to LA food.
So, why the three stars?
Mainly the service. The younger waitress was helpful and did a great job of accommodating me, but the older Korean waitress was rude and couldn't get us out soon enough. We were in there a while but we certainly didn't have our fill.
The meat was... ok. It was nothing amazing but it was good enough. The sushi, I wasn't really too fond of because it didn't really suit my taste buds. But not that it was good.
There was ample selection and frankly a little overwhelming. I couldn't decide what I wanted because I wanted everything. They were quick about changing the grill and came by to cook the meat fairly frequently.
What I did like is that they did have the different sauces available, but you need to ask. For true Korean BBQ people, you always ask for ssamjang. They also had my chili garlic sauce, but all of it was given only by request. Just FYI.
I would probably return again and give it another shot. It wasn't the greatest food I've had but it wasn't the worst. And besides, it's a great place if you have friends who don't like sushi but like BBQ and vice versa.
