  • THESE MFs TRIED TO SCAM ME. While driving on the freeway on the way to work, I heard a clank and my car stopped. Towed my car to this place and talked to the guy to check it out. He late calls me to tell me timing belt broke and could've cause worse damage so I might need a new engine. Here's where it gets interesting... a new engine he said, could be around $3300 for parts and labor which I understand but that he wouldn't know until they tore it apart, repaired the belt and try to run it. He quotes me $695 for a timing belt and said that at the minimum that's what I'd have to pay so they could figure out if I needed a new engine or not. Being that I'm at work and just having a shitty day already I just tell them go for it. He said they would the next day. When I get home is when I start thinking that $695 is wayyy over budget for a timing belt change. The next day I call them and let them know don't do anything to my car, I want a second opinion cause I know the part isn't expensive and labor isn't that much. He tells me it's a 4-5hr job. Again I tell him, that's not true. As I'm calling him on his bullshit I tell him I'm only gonna pay $400 for that cause if I need a new engine anyways why would I then pay you $700 and another $3k. He says lemme ask my manager. 10mins later he calls me to tell me that the engine is gone and needs to be replaced. The weird part is he had told me just the day b4 that in order to find out about the engine, they'd have to repair the belt so how do you know the engine's gone w/o replacing the belt. I believe they either already knew this and just wanted to bleed money out of me or the engine's not bad at all. Only reason I even brought my car to them is cause a friend had took their car there before. Of course I told the friend this and she realized they were shady cause everytime she took her car there, she always left with something extra to fix and something else was wrong. THIS PLACE IS SHADY. BE VERY CAREFUL. After calling them on their bullshit, they agreed not to charge me anything. From reading the other reviews now, it wouldn't surprise me if they intentionally broke something cause I caught them in a lie. They really know how to up sale though. If they ever tell you something is wrong with your car, get a second opinion.
