  • I stopped by the Lawrenceville location of Dozen Bake Shop on Monday afternoon for the very first time. The shop was clean, bright and really enticing, and the staff (sadly I didn't catch either of the names of the two gentlemen working) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I tried the Elvis and Chocolate Stout Cupcakes and was not disappointed - the Elvis had delicious peanut and banana flavors in the cake and icing, and a smooth chocolate center. The Chocolate Stout cupcake was to die for: the perfect mix of chocolate, beer, and icing. I love that they use East End Brewery's Stout in their cupcakes - local sourcing at its best! The menu features a lineup of several cupcakes that rotate on a daily basis, which includes vegan options. They also offer pastries, sandwiches and refreshments. I would absolutely visit Dozen again with a friend to catch up, or for any catering needs for those with a sweet tooth. If you want to impress your baker friends with a delicious, local treat - take them to Dozen. I know I'll be back soon.
