Always trust a line. This ice cream shop, which boasts a twitter account for the line outside alone, left me somewhat skeptical. Can a line that long be worth it? Especially on a street with such Montreal staples as Fairmount Bagels or Wilensky's Light Lunch? To the satisfaction of my sweet tooth, it absolutely did.
Serving what seemed to be a gelato style ice cream, I had the salted butter and the masala chai and they were both two of the most flavor packed ice creams I've ever had. If I'm eating ice cream, I don't desire subtlety, and while these flavors don't hit you over the head, they do pack a punch.
No suggestions on how to beat that line, but I do think it's worth it. I had luck before noon but you never know on a hot summer day!
