I am new to this hobby, sport and obsession, they call air rifles so I needed to purchase everything. Although I knew what rifle I wanted there were still plenty of questions about all the other stuff I needed like a scope, air tank, cleaning accessories etc....Kip did a great job helping me.
Stopped in today to have the trigger adjusted on my FX Crown, service time was quick, service was free and got an explanation of each screw so if I want to adjust it in the future I can.
Although I waited about 30 minutes for service and air tank fill, that as because I let the gentleman who held the door for me as we entered together go first and AOA were down 2 employees too. Everyone one was very busy in the back.
The man needed a quiet and accurate without breaking the bank air rifle to the resolve his ground squirrel problem. He was worried about his neighbors hearing him shooting after he had bought a break barrel online that was a bit too noisy and he was having accurate issues. Hence his most important need was quiet, closely followed by accuracy. He was knowledgeable about shooting as he had powder burners.
The sales person (apologize forget his name) walked him through higher end break barrels to top of the line PCP. Focusing in on the need for a quiet rifle the appropriate moderator was found unfortunately the rifle it was attached to was outside the budget for this purchase. So once the right rifle was selected the moderator was matched up after a couple different adapters were tried.
We had been talking the entire since I am new to air rifles and another customer who came in joined into the discussion of his purchase. I was done before him and when I left he seemed very satisfied that he was getting the air rifle he needed.
I doubt this will be his last purchase and I wouldn't be surprised if at some future date he purchases that top of the line Daystate that the moderator was attached to.
